Our Commitment to Community and Faith

Our Rich History

Originally chartered as National Council, we honored Brother Alfred M. Sevrs as our first Grand Knight. On October 7, 1912, our name evolved to Unity Council, reflecting our commitment to unity and brotherhood. We operated from a Bronx facility before planting our roots in Yonkers, NY.

Early Beginnings

In 1915, we established our home at a Webster Avenue facility, and in 1923, under the visionary leadership of Wethered J. Boyd-a respected funeral director, businessman, and long-serving Grand Knight-we moved to 2605 Grand Concourse in the Bronx.

Honoring a Legacy

After Brother Boyd's passing in 1929, our membership celebrated his commitment to the Columbian Principles by renaming the Council to Wethered J. Boyd Knights of Columbus Council No. 326, a tribute that continues to inspire our community.

Continued Evolution

Operating at Grand Concourse until 1985, our Council later relocated to various Yonkers venues, and since 2016, we have proudly called Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1666 on Yonkers Avenue home, strengthening our partnership with the VFW.

What Drives Us

  • Embracing selfless generosity in all our endeavors.
  • Building a strong, inclusive community of support.
